HOW TO SELL YOUR HOME IN THE SHORTEST TIME AND FOR OPTIMUM PRICE

Selling a home requires knowledge of real estate, marketing and negotiation skills.  Working with a good agent is the best strategy to make sure that you get the most out of the sale.

1.  Interview agents carefully and select the best.
All agents will provide a CMA - or a Comparable Market Analysis - on your home.  This is an analysis that will compare your home with similar sold & current properties to determine the best price based on the current market. Although the CMA is important, do not base your decision to go with an agent solely on the recommended selling price, as some agents can estimate high to entice you.  Make sure you read the article, “How To Interview An Agent.”

2.  Prepare your home.
Fix any maintenance issues, clean out the clutter and remove personal photos.  Listen to other suggestions that your agent may give.  All of your effort will ensure that your home is presented in the best light possible.

3.  Be committed to the sale.
Selling a home requires diligence and patience.  Keep the house in top condition throughout the process and communicate regularly with your agent.  

4.  Be flexible.
Especially during a competitive market, you will have to adjust to the current market conditions in order to be successful.  Again, trust your agent to provide you with professional insight.
